Can kittens see as soon as their eyes open? Or does the vision sense take time to develop?

If you pass the color vision test for helicopter pilot’s license, do you need to re-take it to renew in 3 yrs?

I fail the isochromatic (Ishihara) plates, but passed the Farnsworth Lantern test. My question is do you need to retake the color vision test every 3 years for your FAA helicopter medical certification, or are you permanently okay to fly night / instrument once you pass the FALANT test once?
