What would it be like to have gamma ray vision?

Awkward, since your eyes would be larger than your head and twenty feet or more apart…
Edit…oops… that would be radio vision.
Hmmm…being able to see the radiation beam that is about to kill you… I’ll pass.

It would be pretty boring. X-rays let you look through things because you can only see the things that absorb them, like bones - but there are few gamma rays on Earth. You’d see bricks, because there’s a small bit of radiactivity in bricks (slowly decaying) emitting gamma rays (not harmful), and you might see gamma ray bursts - but those only happen a few times a day, and last for less than a minute. You wouldn’t be blinded by grbs - it’s only a few photons. Not bright at all.

One correction first, Gamma rays are not light. It would be more proper to refer to them as electromagnetic radiation. Visible light is also electromagnetic radiation that just happens to be in a range that our eyes can perceive. As for what you would see, I think it would be pretty boring and render you almost blind. Remember, Gamma radiation is generated only in the most violent of events and as its particles are very energetic and pass through most of what they hit and therefore would not be reflected like visible light (which is how we see most of what we see) so if you were looking at the ground you would be almost blind, looking at the sky you would have a lot to look at. Remember, the back of your eye is also transparent to Gamma rays which means that unless your eyes were made of lead to stop the rays you would be totally blind.

You would probably have a hard time seeing many solid things around you since gamma ray s would go right thourhg them
